Recently, a fraudulent website ffnga11555.com has been circulating in Nigeria, falsely claiming to be affiliated with Fred & Farid, a reputable advertising agency headquartered in Paris. This scam site promises individuals money for completing simple tasks like watching videos or paying taxes on the platform, luring unsuspecting Nigerians into investing or participating in what is essentially a Ponzi scheme.
Fred & Farid Has No Operations in Nigeria or Africa
According to an investigation by drillerbyte, a respected YouTube investigator, direct communication with the official Fred & Farid company confirmed that they have no offices or business operations in Nigeria or anywhere in Africa. Drillerbyte sent private messages to Fred & Farid’s official Facebook and LinkedIn pages, and the company explicitly stated that the fraudulent Nigerian websites are impersonating their brand and are not affiliated with them in any way.
The real Fred & Farid operates offices only in Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Shanghai, focusing on advertising and creative services globally but not engaging in any investment or money-making schemes in Nigeria.
How the Scam Operates
The scammers behind ffnga11555.com and similar domains (such as ffnga000.com, ffnga555.com, ffnga111.com) use fake websites registered just recently (March 2025) to impersonate Fred & Farid. They promise quick money through “tax completion” tasks or watching videos, often recruiting victims via WhatsApp “coaches” or fake charity events. These operations are classic Ponzi schemes, where returns to earlier participants are paid using funds from new victims, leading to inevitable collapse and significant financial losses.
Investigations revealed that these scam entities provide fake Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificates with suspicious or missing director information, further confirming their illegitimacy. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria has been alerted and is actively pursuing legal action against such fraudulent operators.
Warning to Nigerians: Do Not Invest or Engage
If you receive invitations or see advertisements promising easy money under the Fred & Farid name or similar, please exercise extreme caution. These schemes are designed to defraud you of your hard-earned money. The real Fred & Farid company has disavowed any connection and is working with Nigerian authorities to stop these scams.
Always verify the authenticity of investment platforms, avoid sharing personal or financial information with unknown parties, and report suspicious activity to the EFCC or local law enforcement. Sharing this information can help protect your friends and family from falling victim to these scams.

Final Thoughts

Stay vigilant and help spread awareness to protect your community.
